Libre Splitkit

Libre Splitkit is a workshop for Value for Value shows. You line up the songs (or segments), say who should get paid during each one, and export that so podcast apps can send the value to the right people.

You will need an account. Sign in or register on the site, then start with an event.

What you can do

• Make an event. That is one show or live stream. Give it a title and point it at your audio file.
• Build the timeline. Split the show into parts. Each part can be a song from a catalog lookup, or your own notes about who should be paid and how the split works.
• See it on a waveform. The audio timeline shows where each part starts and ends. Click to jump around.
• Go live. During a live show you can switch to the current song so listeners see the artwork, the track name, and who is getting paid right now.
• Export what your feed needs. Copy out value time splits for your RSS feed, chapter markers for the episode, or a download script for the audio files.
• Bring work over from The Split Kit. If you already used thesplitkit.com, you can import an event instead of starting from scratch.

This is the kind of tool you use when you produce a show like Lightning Thrashes, so each artist in the set can get their share.

Getting started

1. Open tsk.sirlibre.com and sign in (or register).
2. Create an event for your show.
3. Add the parts of the timeline, then export the splits and chapters when you are ready to publish.
